Rock For Reading, Weigl Publishing, Bank of America and the Big Shoulders Fund came together to provide copies of “Barack Obama,” a new book for young people that traces the life and celebrates the historic election of President Barack Obama. The books were presented to 4th, 5th and 6th graders at an assembly at St. Malachy School, located at 2252 W. Washington Blvd. on Friday, January 16th. After the presentation of the books, several students from the 4th and 6th grades gave speeches talking about what President Obama means to them.

6,000 copies of the book were donated by Weigl Publishing and Bank of America to be distributed by Big Shoulders and Rock For Reading to students enrolled in 76 elementary schools across Chicago.
